Margaret Lindsey is the Southwest Regional Arthritis Center (RAC) Coordinator at Mercy Hospital (formerly known as St. John’s Health System). She is retiring after being the SWRAC Coordinator since the inception of the Regional Arthritis Center system (at least 28 years!).
(Margaret is pictured on the left; Doris Fountain – Northeast Regional Arthritis Center Coordinator is on the right.)
A nurse by profession, she has worked for Mercy Springfield for 44 years. She is a Chronic Disease Self Management Program (CDSMP) Trainer, an Arthritis Foundation exercise trainer, a class leader, a public and professional educator and advocate, and has educated Juvenile Arthritis (JA) families. Margaret has worked tirelessly to serve 23 southwest area counties with arthritis and chronic disease programming and successfully provided programs in every single county. She has been a HUGE partner for the Missouri Arthritis Program over the past 28 years.

Margaret is one of the kindest, brightest and most dedicated people you could meet. We give Margaret a BIG THANK YOU for her service, knowledge and willingness to do anything it takes to serve people with arthritis and their families.
If you would like to thank Margaret for her service to the arthritis community (especially in Southwest Missouri) or would like to wish her well in her retirement, please email her at [email protected].
